About Andy

I’m Andy, a motorcycle rider based in Switzerland. Andy ADV is where I bring together my adventures on two wheels — from Alpine passes close to home to longer journeys across Europe.

I ride a BMW R 1300 GS Adventure. The bike is part of the story; the roads, places and experiences along the way are what this site is about.

In the Journal, I share thoughts on riding, my bike and the gear I use. In Rides, you’ll find the practical side of a journey: route notes, maps and GPX files as they become available.

This is a personal rider’s notebook, built to be useful, honest and enjoyable to explore. Take the long way — and leave a little room for moto faffery.
